At the home of Catharina Meints Caldwell
33rd Annual Viol Consort Concert
Professor Cathy Meints and her former and present students and colleagues read through piles of 3–9-voice viol consort music and presented a smattering of what they found. This year it was Italian double-choir music, including Priuli, as well as other music for viols, including the 5-voice version of the Hexachord by Alfonso Ferrabosco II.
The collection of instruments is famous worldwide.
The audience consists of illustrious Professors and Professors Emeritus from Oberlin College (where Marcy went for her undergraduate studies), townspeople and out-of-town friends and family.
This was Marcy’s second year there.
